About Magnes

Magnes Welsh advises business leaders and professionals on how to bring more heart into their work in order to improve morale, trust and productivity. For more than two decades, she has traveled extensively, learning heart-centered practices from leading self-empowerment experts. By adapting these practices, she has developed a radical approach to doing business that is based on the idea that practicing love and compassion can align with business goals and actually help maximize them. Her work is featured in a chapter of the new best-selling book Shine Your Light, and her upcoming book, The Art and Heart of Business, will be published in late 2018.

She has over 35 years of corporate experience in communications. After a first job at the Associated Press, she worked for FedEx in media relations and in senior management at Kraft Foods where she was director of public relations, prior to starting her consulting practice in 1990. Since then, she has served global organizations such as Chiquita Brands International, Kraft Foods, JLL and The Atlantic Philanthropies.

Magnes earned her MBA with honors from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and her BA with honors from the University of Memphis.
